Our team will pick you up from the assigned location at 6:00 AM and it will mark the start of your beautiful trek journey, the way to reach Rishikesh, On your way you will pass the holy confluences: Devprayag, Rudraprayag, and Karanprayag. Devpragyag is where the two rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi meet and flow on as the Ganges river or the Ganga.
The path through Sari village is picturesque. Sari village is quiet and crowd-free as it’s the base camp for the Chandrashila trek. You can see the trekkers all around.
Since the economy of Sari village people depends on farming, you can see the clear scenery of paddy fields and meadows.
You’ll spend your night in a sari and the next day your trek will start.
Altitude Gain: (6,550ft to 7,850 ft )
Your trek will start today, after a nutrition-rich breakfast our trek leader will give you a short description of your trekking route and then we’ll begin your trek.
The trek to Deoriatal is short and easy even beginners can easily trek.
Deoriatal gives you perfect eye-capturing sceneries of Garhwal Himalaya and a diminutive view of Tungnath temple. you’ll spend your night here in tents, and a hot meal will be served under the cloudy sky.
The trek from Deoriatal to Rohini Bugyal is moderate since it has many up and down trails and the trek is about 16 km long.
Firstly we trek to Rohini Bugyal which is one of the best places in Chopta for camping as the place is covered with thick forests. Nestled in the lap of the majestic Himalayas, Rohini Bugyal is one of the most quaint villages in Chopta which is a paradise for all trekkers. Far-reaching views of the Garhwal Himalayas can be seen while camping at Rohini Bugyal and trekkers are often seen camping at Rohini Bugyal during the Chopta trek. But you’ll not stay here just capture the beauty of Rohini Bugyal and trek towards the Baniyakund.
Baniyakund which is one of the attractive meadows of Chopta has many accommodation options available for trekkers. Therefore it would not be wrong to call Baniya Kund an abode for trekkers. During Chopta trekking, most of the trekkers choose this place as their base camp during their trek. This place remains a favourite for trekkers as well as tourists where you can relax in the lush green meadows and watch the beautiful landscapes around it. you’ll camp here and the next day depart for the final summit.
Today is the day when you will start the trek. Start your day by having breakfast at the hotel premises and then leave for Shingra Koma (the drive to Shingra Koma is around 3-4 hrs) The actual trek will start from Shingra Koma.
Wear your gumboots and start your trek, Carry two thermos for hot water. Remember that walking in gumboots May pose some challenges initially and you may slip a lot on the ice. Carry a backpack to protect your back while falling and always be cautious. After adventurous hours of trekking, you’ll reach Tsomo Paldar, the first campsite of the trek.
The trek is a gradual but challenging one.
Be prepared for slipping and falling and slipping again. Verify before leaving that you have your theorems filled with hot water. Unlike other treks, the Chadar trek is different and presents different types of picturesque views. You’ll be passing through frozen waterfalls. Trekking along with the river Zanskar you’ll have your lunch on the way.
A few more hours of trekking and you’ll spot the caves, these caves are used by the potters at night for resting. Your campsite for the day is adjacent to the Tibb cave.
Pulse rate at rest must be in between (60 to 90 beats per minute).
Blood Pressure Reading must be in between (DIASTOLIC 70 – 90, SYSTOLIC 100 – 140 mm Hg).
Respiratory rate at rest must be in between (12 to 20 breaths per minute).

First, you can arrive at Delhi, Dehradun airport or Chandigarh. The journey from these locations to Rishikesh is explained below.
1. Take overnight train/bus to Rishikesh.
2. Take overnight train/bus to Haridwar and drive to Rishikesh (25km | 35 min drive with normal traffic).
3. Take overnight train/bus to Dehradun and drive to Rishikesh (50km | 1hr 20min drive with normal traffic).
( We always recommend going for the govt. Buses over the private ones outside the bus station as based on the experience we have found that there are very high chances of delay involved with private buses. Also, govt. Buses are always more reliable. Whichever bus you choose, just make sure to reach Rishikesh at least by 05:30 am. )
4. Board a flight to Dehradun airport (Jolly Grant Airport) (21 km, 30 min). If you’re arriving by air, then come one day in advance.
Note – In July and August month always have a buffer day in your Itinerary due to the Monsoon.
( If you prefer to travel independently to Base camp and don’t want to take TMV’s pick-up service, you can either take a government bus or book a private cab from Rishikesh. Your trek coordinator will provide guidance on how to arrange for the bus or cab booking. )
