Kedarkantha is often hailed as the “Queen of Winter Treks” because of its unmatched beauty during the snow season. The snow-capped forests, clear summit views, and serene campsites create a dreamlike setting that few other Himalayan treks offer in winter.
Its accessibility from Dehradun, beginner-friendly trail, and guaranteed snow experience make it the crown jewel among all winter treks in India. For anyone looking to experience the real charm of the Himalayas in snow, Kedarkantha Trek stands unrivaled.Altitude: 1,950 m / 6,400 ft

In winter, the path is blanketed in snow, creating a magical setting. You may even spot wildlife like Himalayan langurs or mountain hares along the way. Upon reaching Juda-ka-Talab, you’ll be awestruck by the peaceful lake surrounded by snow and trees. During peak winter, the lake freezes completely, offering picture-perfect reflections.
