    • Alpine Beauty: Dayara Bugyal is known for its vast, rolling meadows that stretch out as far as the eye can see. In winter, these meadows are blanketed in snow, while in summer, they turn into lush, green pastures.

Safety Tips

Physical Fitness: Although the trek is considered easy to moderate, maintaining good physical fitness is important. Regular cardio and strength training exercises will help.

Acclimatization: The trek does not reach extreme altitudes, but it’s still advisable to acclimatize, especially if you’re coming from lower altitudes. Keep hydrated and avoid overexertion.

Weather Preparedness: Be prepared for sudden changes in weather, including rain or cold winds. Carry appropriate gear and extra layers.

Who can participate

  • Age; 14 years +.
  • First timers can apply; previous trekking experience is more appreciated.
  • The climber must be fit and have sufficient stamina to cover 4 km of distance in 35 minutes without stress.
  • The climber should be able to carry a 10-12 kg backpack.

Dehradun to Natin

  • Drive Distance: 228 KM

    Our team will pick you up from Dehradun and where your driving starts towards Natin.

    You'll travel parallel to the Bhagirath River as you move to Natin, the village 30km away from Uttarkashi. The mountain peaks like Shrikantha and the Gangotri ranges will uphold you throughout the journey.

    Finally, you'll reach Natin, the famous base camp for Dayara Bugyal Trek. 

  • You'll spend your night in a sari and the next day your trek will start.

Nati to Gui

  • Drive Distance :40 KM (Duration: 1.5 HRS)

     will start by driving but end up with trekking approx 4 km of trekking.

    During the trek Unlike mountains, you'll witness Forest covers and village huts which are made by the residents for their cattle, ahead your trail goes between the gold and silver oak trees.

    After reaching the campsite you'll take a rest in the lap of pristine nature and sleep under the black and shining sky.

Gui to Chelapada

  • TREK DISTANCE : 3 KM( Duration : 2hr )

    The third day is easy and gradient, today you'll reach the second campsite Chelapada by just 3 km trekking and 300 ft altitude gain. 

    Here the forest comes to an end and uphill climbing is waiting for you. You'll cross a couple of streams and one of them is just beside your campsite.

    After having the Hot and Tasty treat you can explore the surrounding areas.

Chelapada to Dayara top and camp at Nayata

  • Trek Distance: 5.5 KM(Trek Duration:6Hrs)
  • Altitude: 10,100-12,100 Ft.

    This is the day when you set the benchmark while summiting the Dayra top. 

    The way gets the mesmerising view of the Bandarpunch peak, the final touch to the summit is a bit effort-full because it has some altitude and behind you walk through only meadows, pastures and flat lands so the climbing is a bit breathtaking toward the Dodital range.

    Also, you'll get only one water resource throughout the way so you need to take enough water with you. We will provide you with a packed lunch in the middle of the trek.

    In this way, you will capture the pictures of Gidara Pass, Gidara Bugyal, a meadow covered with yellow and purple flowers(in late spring and summer only).

    You'll stay at the campsite at Nayta.

Nayata to Natin

  • Trek Distance - 5 km (Trek duration : 3hr)
  • Altitude loss : 12,100 - 7,400ft

    Today is your Last day of trekking to Dayr. you will take down from Nayata to Natin approx 5km and it'll take you 3 to 4 hours to cover the distance.

    The dense forest covers will be your companion through the return journey, finally, you'll reach the Natin Village where your night stay will be a homestay.

    Next morning you'll be off to Dehradun.

Natin to dehradun

  • Drive Distance - 228Km 
  • Drive Duration - 6-7 hr.

Finally, you'll drop to your drop location which is Dehradun. From here you'll decide on your further journey. Our team drops you there with lots of memories.

A final Goodbye and you're waiting for the next trek will be our wish.

Health and Awareness

  1. Pulse rate at rest must be in between (60 to 90 beats per minute).

  2. Blood Pressure Reading must be in between (DIASTOLIC 70 – 90, SYSTOLIC 100 – 140 mm Hg).

  3. Respiratory rate at rest must be in between (12 to 20 breaths per minute).

  4. Should not have Liver and kidney issues.

  5. Should not have Diabetes Mellitus, Bronchial Asthma, Heart problems, Hypertension, etc.

  6. No pacemaker implant.

  7. People with Sinus issues, Epilepsy please contact to trek coordinator before booking the trek.

  8. If your BMI is not normal, Please contact our Trek coordinator before Trek booking.

Government Employess

  1. Government Employees can avail the benefit of Special Casual Leave (SCL) when they join us for a trekking expedition. As per the rules of the Pay Commission, Special Casual Leave can be availed for up to 30 days in a calendar year for trekking/mountaineering expeditions through a registered organization. Trek The Himalayas is a registered adventure tour operator by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF) and the Ministry Of Tourism (MOT).
  2. Trekkers have to apply for leave at least 20 days before the trek departure date.
  3. This service is exclusive to Indian government employees and is applicable only for treks within India.
  4. Do mail at info@trekthehimalayas to apply and mention your booked trek date and trek name.

Kids Guidelines

  1. Junior trekkers (below 15 years) should have a company of parents/guardians.
  2. Trekkers between 15 to 18 years can come solo with the disclaimer form signed by parent/guardian.

How To Reach

Pick-Up Information

  • It is essential for everyone to arrive at Prince Chowk, Dehradun (06:00 am).
  • Once you have reached Dehradun, TMV will manage the rest of your travel arrangements, if you have opted for TMV’s pick-up service, you can select this option during the booking process by adding it as an add-on.

Options to Reach Dehradun

First, you can arrive at Delhi, Dehradun Airport or Chandigarh. The journey from these locations to Dehradun is explained below.

1. Take an overnight train from Delhi to Dehradun.

2. Take a bus to Dehradun ISBT from Delhi Kashmiri gate ISBT or Chandigarh Sector 17 Bus stand, and then take local transport to the pickup point (Prince Chowk).

Delhi to Dehradun – 250km | 6hr.

Chandigarh to Dehradun – 220km | 5hr 

The distance from the Dehradun Bus Stand (ISBT) to the Railway Station is 6 km, without traffic, it will take 15 minutes.

( We always recommend to go for the govt. Buses over the private ones outside the bus station as based on the experience we have found that there are very high chances of delay involved with private buses. Also, govt. Buses are always more reliable. Whichever bus you choose, just make sure to reach Dehradun at least by 05:30 am positively. )

3. Take a flight to Dehradun airport (Jolly Grant Airport), then from the Airport to Prince Chowk, Dehradun Distance is 30km and it will take around 1 hr( if coming by flight then reach one day early).

Drop-Off Information

  • The designated drop-off point is Prince Chowk, Dehradun.
  • Arrive in Prince Chowk by 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
  • Please consider planning your subsequent travel arrangements after 9:00 pm.
  • The distance from the Railway Station to Dehradun Bus Stand (ISBT) is 6 km, it will take approx 25 minutes.
  • The distance from Railway Station to Dehradun Airport is 30km, it will take approx 1hr.
  • It’s highly advisable to keep a buffer day in your travel plan. If the buffer day is not needed, it can be used to explore Dehradun/Mussoorie/Rishikesh.

( If you prefer to travel independently to Base camp and don’t want to take TMV’s pick-up service, you can either take a government bus or book a private cab from Rishikesh. Your trek coordinator will provide guidance on how to arrange for the bus or cab booking. )

TMV offers comfortable transportation through Tempo Traveler, Bolero, or equivalent vehicles. If you wish to upgrade your mode of transportation, please contact your trek coordinator for further assistance.

We get that a travel and adventure enthusiast like you will be as bumped about cancelling a trek as us but we also understand that you may have to cancel the trek for any unforeseen reason and therefore the Cancellation Service of The Mountain Vibes does not return the advance amount paid by the trekkers instead we provide a voucher for the exact amount which is equivalent to the amount paid by you.

What kind of accommodation will you get on the trek?

  1. You’ll be accommodated in a clean and hygienic guest house for the first two and the last two days of the trek and for the remaining you’ll be accommodated in tents and sleep bags will also be provided.

Will you provide us with tents and sleeping bags?

  1. Yes, we will provide sleeping, tent, mattress. It is among the central equipment.

     

     

Where and what time do we have to reach in Rishikesh?

  1. Reporting point is TMV head office, kaintura plaza, opposite shiv vilas hotel,Tapowan, Laxman jhulla , Badrinath highway and the pick up time is 6:00 AM-6:30 AM.

     

     

     

How many trekkers do we take in a group ?

  1. We’ll dispatch daily batches (almost all days) in the months of August, September and October. Where we welcome large groups and small groups likewise. Though if you want to trek solo or in a small group the trek can be customised according to your need. (Charges may differ according to your needs)

Do we provide accommodation if you come prior to the trek date ?

  1. No it is not in our policy though we might help you in finding accommodation, however we are not responsible if there are no guest houses/hotels available, also the charges for accommodation for days before the trekking date and after the trekking date are NOT INCLUDED and the trekker is accountable to bear all the expenses for the same.

Is this a good trek for a first timer?

  1. Yes, This is of the best options. We recommend this trek to first timer as well as experienced one.

What is the age limit ?

  1. There is no particular age bar we welcome anyone and everyone who is a travel enthusiast, but children below the age of 16 are preferred to come along with their parents or gurdain and if they want to do a solo trek a non objection go ahead will be required from their parents end.

Can you give us brief details about served food while on trek?

  1. We serve Indian vegetarian food with occasional eggs while on trek, to give you general idea it is like this, Dal sabji roti, rice in lunch & dinner and daliya, poha, sandwich etc in breakfast with morning & evening tea.

Do we get enough water for drinking?

Yes, trekkers must carry 2 water bottles 1 litre each so they can fill/refill at campsite so they can drink and keep themselves hydrate. Once you’re in campsite you can refill it from water container available in campsite.

 

 

What kind of shoes we should buy for this trek?

You should buy shoes which has these three features –Good grip, Ankle Support and additional water resistant layers. Generally, we advise Quechua Trek 100, MH 500 and MH 100. 

 

 

 

 

Is Trekking pole necessary?

Yes, it is necessary. It is additional support which helps you reduce tiredness and give you strength and balance.
